Writing has always been my first and greatest creative passion in life. Like most artistically minded people, my creative endeavors do not stop with just one form of expression. I also enjoy paper projects, sewing, home decorating, and crafting in general. A day does not seem complete unless I have been able to do at least one of these things. When I started thinking about my blog and the content I wanted to create, I could not limit it to writing alone because that would be omitting a huge part of myself. Instead, I will use this blog to share all my favorite projects, both professionally and creatively.
My Writing Life
I developed a love for writing as soon as I was able to hold a pencil. There was never a moment when I wanted to do anything else but be a writer. I received a BA in English Literature from Florida State University in 2004. After graduation I worked for Web.com where I was a website designer and the Manager of Web Design and Copywriting. I loved that I got to combine my artistic eye with my passion for writing.
In 2008 my husband and I had twin girls and immediately I knew — I wanted to stay home with them. It was the beginning of my career as a freelance writer and I have never looked back. I have a flexible schedule, fantastic clients, and the ability to volunteer in the classroom and attend school field trips. We have since added a son to our family as well.
When I am not writing I am reading, crafting, and doing projects with my children. We love all things gluey, sticky, and messy. From baking cupcakes to making paper crafts on the Cricut™, there is always some project underway in the Reynolds’ household. With this blog, I hope to take those projects and turn them into step-by-step tutorials that I can pass on to you. There will even be some printable projects featured.
I would love for you to share in this journey with me. Please subscribe to my blog to ensure you receive all my latest posts. I would love to hear what you think about my projects and about projects you have done so feel free to comment.
